SANTA FE, NM – April 8, 2015.  Steven D. Wood, PhD has joined Seamless Medical Systems® as Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships. In this role, Dr. Wood is responsible for providing executive liaison and strategic leadership for Seamless Medical Systems' industry partnerships and national clients, and leading the company’s strategic marketing initiatives.  Prior to this role, Dr. Wood served in a variety of senior executive capacities with HealthGrades.

As an academic, an entrepreneur and as former Senior Vice President with J. D. Power and Associates, Dr. Wood has been a thought leader in quantifying and analyzing the ways in which consumers interact with the healthcare system. During his leadership role with J. D. Power and Associates he launched and built the healthcare division into a leading provider of consumer insight and strategy for pharmaceutical companies, hospital and health plans. He is one of the nation’s leading authorities on customer loyalty strategies. 

Dr. Wood has been a professor at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and is professor emeritus of marketing and formerly associate dean of graduate programs at the Arizona State University College of Business. He is a coauthor of four books, has published in excess of 80 papers in scholarly and professional journals. Dr. Wood also founded and served as CEO and Chairman of The HSM Group for 20 years. This firm provided customized marketing research and relationship marketing programs to pharmaceutical and medical device companies, hospitals, health plans and medical groups.

Dr. Wood earned his PhD in quantitative analysis with minors in strategy and computer science from the College of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
